green eggs & ham
she called you cry baby, her friends laughed at you
yet her heart wanted you as heavy as you felt she wanted more
perhaps it was meant to crash and burn
either you or she would’ve sabotaged it
abandonment insecurities which ever one it lead the way back home
two hearts can yearn for love but folded in one another they are left yearning for more, unspoken words.
heavy sighs and puppy eyes linger in the nights they shared
silly giggles and belly filled laughs collected in the frames of his room
lace thongs filled from room to room
warm embraces filled empty spaces
unquenched thirst strifes her still
sweet sleep rests under your eyes as you sway back and forth sweeping the blankets under
unspoken words filled the room with lies
you pierced her heart with lyrical scripture it’s like you warned her in between the lines
you’re powerful hands felt safe around her neck, clinching onto your words for the next bite
she taunted you
possession become manifested
she lured you
enticing your childlike nature, pondering into your world with quiet steps
all reaching a crescendoed silence you stood in front of her, in the midst of a stormy mind.
